He needed 2 more years and Corp Leaders thought sure, we'll through you a few more million. Does anyone think he is really going to do anything except plan his move into retirement back in the homeland. It's them and us; we are the boxes on the excel spreadsheet.
What does it mean that he is now in charge of transformation?
DA and his minions are probably reading all the negative comments about MM, laughing, and saying, "Yes, we picked the right man for the job."

There is a strategic business plan. MM will own responsibility for specific aspects of this strategic plan and TM will own responsibility for other specific aspects of this strategic plan.
Employees unlikely to be looked upon favorably as the strategic plans are implemented.

I think that most people have missed the point as to why MM was selected. He is the best person at Honeywell to make Aerospace as lean as possible and at the same time still somewhat functional whereby the numbers look attractive to potential buyers or a spinoff. He will gut it to the max whereby things look attractive from the outside but internally it will be ready for an implosion. He is ruthless and will demand all kinds of cuts in fixed costs. Recall the article in September whereby Big D said he is going to implement the Recession Playbook now to get ahead of a potential downturn in the business. MM is the best person to implement this plan because he doesn’t care about employees, customers, growing the business, leaving Aerospace in a better condition for the future, etc. The task is to make it look good on paper to the outside world. He will do this while making all the employees even more miserable than they are today. Nothing like him except for natural disasters like an Earthquake, Tsunami, Tornado, Hurricane, etc.
Stupefying. MM increases the past due to almost $1B during his ISC tenure and ascends to the top job. Anyone else would have been fired. It's not going to be pretty.
Is anyone really surprised? Nothing is going to change here. Expect more layoffs, downsizing, outsourcing, and spin-offs in the future.
So there is an increase in executive management by making a new Senior role for TM while cutting down on band 4 managers?
Maybe they reduced first line managers so they can pay for one more executive.
This is not a good change. MM has a reputation for yelling at and insulting his team members. Ask around in ISC, if you can find any left. Most people either quit or were terminated. Can't believe he is still here with the mess he made in purchasing and our inability to get parts.

Yes. This is very very bad. Dead bodies everywhere with him. He drove ISC into the ground and massive amount of people left because of him. Now they promote him? I have 34 years in but too young to retire. Got to get out now as we ain’t seen nothing yet.
The architect of fifteen years of failed outsource transitions gets to the top. What a joke. All he did was drive our quality into the can and convince Boeing they should make their own avionics. Anyone want to take bets on how long JE lasts ? No win scenario for him.

Hahaha I'm glad I'm not in one of the core engineering COEs! If there is anything that MM doesn't tolerate is a lazy engineer. And this place is chock full of em! Now I'm not talking about time charging enough hours. He's going to dig deeper. The days of drinking coffee, reading the paper and gossiping while our competitors out smart us are over.

Well kiddies, if you thought things were bad before, you ain't seen nothin' yet. DA's mini-me (MM) has risen to power, despite creating the biggest backlog in Aero history. If you ever thought promotions were based on performance, think again. This has been planned for a long time as TM prepares to retire to his new UK home, so naturally DA picked someone who will do his beck and call. If you resume isn't updated or your retirement plan in place then you're pretty much screwed. Waiting for a package? Probably not going to happen. You'll be PIP'd out with the minimum severance they can get away with paying, or fired for "cause." Don't like your OT? Be ready to work days, nights and weekend, or be canned. Stress levels at being yelled at constantly and belittled? Yep, the job could well k–l you now. Everyone has had their various reasons for procrastination, but now is the time to go. You can do more than you have been told - you have value. Don't forget it now.
