Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

PSR=common sense

Ok so ive been researching a little bit on Hunter Harrison. Yes he was a hard a–, a real d–k, but he got the job done. He was all about common sense and to be honest ever since I started working for the RR ive honestly havent seen much of that and I bet most of you can agree. How many times have you been left scratching your head and thinking to yourself, wtf is this manager or supervisor even thinking? Yeah dont answer that, im sure its alot.
Heres the problem though, Jim Vena is now trying to copy Hunter Harrison, even his mannerisms and the way he dealt with id–t railroaders. Hes trying to take credit and hes just riding his coatails. I bet if Hunter was alive today he would kick the sh– out of Tom Lischner, and probrably can his a–. At least Vena has some railroading experience so he has somewhat of an idea whats going on. Yes its unfortunate that so many jobs have been lost and Im sure mine will be gone soon enough, but thats the way it goes.
At least take comfort in the fact that you were right all along in thinking that your managers and supervisors are as dumb as they can get and hopefully they sh– can most of em and get some common sense management and supervision.

Hunter Harrison was an id–t and worked until he died and didn’t get to spend any of his money.

Ok what's up with the title? I'm trying to find out where PSR equals common sense. Lance and Jim are the two biggest id–ts I've ever seen. I don't give a sh– what degree they have. PSR is for the money, plain and simple. As long as the shareholders are happy with the returns, they won't care about the daily operations. Harrison did what no CEO should've done. You don't layoff thousands of employees, and close locations like this. Lance and Jim are digging this hole real deep. PSR DID NOT work at the other railroads. It royally screwed the operations for the CP and the CN. Anyone keeping track of how well the CSX is doing? Oh yeah, they're failing badly. Just give it time folks. Lance and Jim are going to screw this up.

This post hit a sore spot for old Tommy boy, he was full of sh– when I first met him 20 years ago when he worked in CMS. I'm surprised he lasted this long.

I downvoted the original post just because of the title. I skimmed the text, and it's just incoherent UP foamer BS, with a nice dollop of contrarian trolling plumped onto the top. Move along, nothing to see here.

all the a– kissing managers and supervisors will be weeded out, its not about who you blow anymore, Vena can see right through that, so kissing his a– will only cost you your job.
