Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco started going downhill long before 2014

Cisco started going downhill long before 2014. I started in 1996 and was there almost 21 years. From my observation, Cisco started going downhill after the first big layoff in 2001. Most people who were around at that time all tend to think the same thing. I finally got hit in 2016.

Bumped this from @11geHYtu-hlim of being absolutely right

@11yZO03J-7yyq. I am the OP and totally agree with what you said. Up until 2001, Cisco was the greatest company I ever worked for. The 5+ years I had been there prior to the layoff were by far the best of my career. After the 2001 layoff, Cisco continued going downhill every year.

yep, was there in 2001, it was best company of all time, but layoffs started the downhill run, 07 really hurt and was personal, 2014 was stupid scale , lost all good talent that year, 15 on was only to make numbers. Funny thing, watch the sale of stock by execs, its disgusting , 50k shares at a time. I love Cisco Systems, Cisco is just a place to collect paycheck until you get a better gig.
