Agree last one (insimie) was complete bunk. I was working there for some time. We all slogged so we can make couple of 100K . But at the same time nuova and Andiamo was different. The key is sell idea to CEO and receive funding , throw enough money and stock to Attract talent and get it implemented and use cisco sales channels to aquire customers. Happy that CR is not entertaining them.
I have no ties to MPLS, but how was insieme a failure? It (Nexus 9k, ACI, and UCS) are the core of the Cisco datacenter portfolio.

I heard that MPLS have people at cisco who makes sure there is a vacuum in terms of innovation. Once they got something working they with few customers they will show that they are the one who can do that. CR should figured out this people.

Cisco are not going to buy Pissandgo Systems at any price as... (1) it would need Chuck to eat a massive portion of humble pie to concede that he was wrong and take them back, (2) their final creation at Cisco was an abject commercial failure and (3) they have to prove that their new IPR and customer base is worth that amount...and, to date, these are both currently $0

Yeah I think JC just threw out AWS’s name to get a rise out of the press. The real competitor will be Cisco, who hasn’t innovated in the networking space since before MPLS left. CR drove them out, now he’s laid the groundwork for them to crush the HW business, which is still Cisco’s bread and butter.

Cisco will buy Pensando Systems for $6.5 billions. Chambers & the MPLS crew will back as Cisco employees, then bolt after 9 months to go create another startup for Cisco to buy.... and cycle repeats.
