It finally happened. Our desk was moved to the door yesterday. We, now work the desk, or what's left of it, take care of the door, get club pickups out, and push carts. Just so you know what's coming your way.

Member Assist = Pushing Carts/Carryouts. That's it.
Member Support = Customer service desk/returns and sometimes door greeter to cover the breaks for door greeters.
Can't remember the official "member" name for the club pickup, but they're their own thing too.
Addressing: “Do you still have to pull orders too? At my club the openers have to do that as well.“
Yes we (desk associates) still pull orders at our store. We are also responsible for taking orders out to the members cars.
Addressing: “don’t understand”. Once they moved the desk to the door, the associates, who were once separated into door greeters and desk associates, were merged to form a new group called member support. We work entrance/exit doors, wait on members at the tiny little desk, push carts, and do club pick up.
I’m young, I can push carts. Bunch of door are going to be forced out. Just trying to give people a heads up. So they aren’t blindsided.
I guess I am not understanding do you mean the door greeters are pulling order? If the memberships desk is taking care of the door what is the door greeters doing or are they now eliminated?
Of course openers pull orders. Did you think you were going to come in and stand around doing nothing from 6 am - 7 am?
It’s like the friggen hunger games at our club with the 3 overstaffed desk associates trying to jockey for the one stool behind the desk left.
If you don’t think hours being cut at the desk aren’t coming soon you haven’t been paying much attention the last 2 years.
I thought member assist associates dispensed orders and did carts/carryouts
Do you still have to pull orders too? At my club the openers have to do that as well.
