I can't afford to lose my job! I will make sure it is not me but some one else within the company.

It’s going to be so bad in 2020 that fidelity is laying off the site petting dogs. But the petting dogs will be replaced by increasing the number of sugary snacks and pudding wheeled around by managers.

The ageism is rampant and still happens. That place is like “Logan’s Run.” All about Millennials- -catering to and hiring them and younger on the cheap.

Average age of group laid off last year was 50. This kind of targeting is poorly veiled as “restructuring”....does this sound familiar? “We are eliminating your jobs, but we are creating new ones for which you can apply!” (but are in no way guaranteed an interview). Many didn’t get interviews. The more “senior” level new jobs were filled not with the most qualified, but with predominantly Millennials. Kept a couple of the older more expensive folks, but the rest were cut.
Rinse. Repeat. It’s what they do.

Hearing that the layoffs will target older, more tenured employees with above average incomes.
