It is definitely worth the wait, get paid four more years, who knows, interest rates could go negative and the lump sum will be much better. I'll wait for the next flyer.....

Weak offer...but plenty will take it...we have several people in My area that were going to leave by early next year offer or not....sometimes you gotta walk away while you can still walk...We had several leave without an offer over the past year.....I even doubt that it will get anywhere near my seniority so I can take the offer....I guess I’ll prob have to wait until same time next year....oh well.. 400 more days or so....

All I got to say if you accept it your work has just begun. It’s a nightmare trying to collect. You just accept and think your done. You’ll never receive the money. At 1st when you call to check on it HR we’ll point and keep pointing to you to another department for the pension. They’ll snail mail 2 books full of legal paper work to try to fill out, notarize and etc. save a blank copy because you’ll miss a spot and you’ll end up getting 3 notaries until that snail mail process is over. HR is clueless or acts clueless, you have to specifically say “ Early Separation package” or you’ll never be giving the correct information. They’ll drag this up until the deadline and it’s to late. I highly recommend you doing everything before living if at all possible and get all the information and contacts with no questions. Don’t do what I did and focus on the job you’re doing right now. You have to devote all your time to the package.Good luck and congratulations.
