The CEO is a puppet position. Her's will be the face we put on whatever the investors demand she carries out while she's the one they choose to dangle from their strings. Thus, she'll be their obedient hatchetwoman just as Furner was their faithful hatchetman. The cycle shall continue unobstructed.
