Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

The Last Round

One of the last major phases of PSR is the reduction of management. It happens after they get a handle on operations and how everything flows with the reductions. In the recent months UP has been making some ARASA supervising employees non agreement. They don’t even care if they have college degrees before making them NA now. That should say it all right there, you’re just a pawn. It is a PSR trick. It pays their numbers game twice. Not only did they eliminate agreement positions in one quarter but when it’s time to hit management they get rid of them and count them again in a different quarter. It also helps cushion the blow to their true managers. They know they are going to have to eliminate some. All the Wall Street eyes are seeing is less headcount. They don’t cross reference agreement/non agreement numbers or how the numbers went down. At a time when you’re cutting costs, employees, yards, locomotives, trains, and everything else there’s no need for more of anything, especially management. It’s coming. If you know someone from a previously implemented PSR RR ask them.

The last round is when the current coo, ceo, and whomever else has a golden parachute pulls their ripcords to bail from the flaming plane that is Union Pacific that they created leaving everyone else aboard to try to safely land the flaming pile of sc-ap metal that is left behind.
