Anyone know a union rep?? If our senior leaders won’t fight for us, then what choice do we have?

What about the skilled trades? IE: carpenters, HVAC, Plumbers they are fully worthy of having a union the electricians are a union group.

It's worth it just to get union reps on property because Scott Ross can't control them.

Somebody always has to throw politics into mix!
There are a myriad of team members in between PT hourly and salaried.
Example: Full time supervisors, many of which have been here well over 30yrs.
We are getting the worst of the vacation reduction. We drop down to a 10yr level and will never be able to earn anywhere near the amount we used to have and definitely deserve “unlimited “ earning potential for PTO as much as if not more than salaried “leaders”.
Those are the team members who need a union. Across all departments those are the most valuable team members this company has and they should be treated as such.

So I guess Disney employees have no negotiating power.
And how is salaried in the same boat? Hourly ambassadors get 0 bonus, no equity or stock awards, no retention bonus and time off is now accrued and limited.

Alright, Bernie Sanders.

Ambassador positions have an average time in position of 4 months, with most coming from high schools and early college. No reputable union would represent positions where the employee has almost zero negotiating power. Unions make sense for auto workers and skilled trades because workers have a position to negotiate from. This is why it makes sense for performers and zoo. All other departments though? Lol, the HR reps would just need to make an extra round to the nearby HS to fill those.

And those salaried workers do a lot more than simply attend meetings, and most are in the same boat as you. Perhaps you just have terrible leadership. You’re falling into that trap of finger pointing at the park when you should be pointing the finger at the board.

Low skilled dime a dozen positions? I wonder which salaried “leader” made that comment?
Those “low skilled dime a dozen positions” (or as you should have referred to them as ; team members or ambassadors) are the backbone of the company. Sure, anyone could do those jobs. Just as anyone could shovel c-ap and hose out exhibits.
Those unskilled dime a dozen team members are exactly the people who need unions to protect them from greedy owners and salaried managers who really don’t do more than answer emails, go to meetings and walk around the park pointing out overflowing garbage cans and popcorn spills.

Union dues would be well worth it, if nothing more than to piss off Steve Ross and company

Getting another job?
The only employees at this company that make sense to unionize are Animal Care folks (and this is coming from a non-zoo person) and some performers.

Anybody else sit in low skilled dime a dozen positions.

If you fall under those areas, Go for it.

I agree. At least we would have someone fighting for us for better wages, benefits, time off, etc. My opinion too, it would be well worth it.
