What are your thoughts about potential Mondelez Layoffs 2020? Any news or rumors?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 and all those things can’t transfer to someone else? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The end is near, DSD is ending and your LEASED phone, LEASED car, and LEASED tablet mean absolutely nothing! You’ll find out when they are ready to tell you, till then enjoy all your LEASED things! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep new phone new tablet and now new car!!! And y'all think we're going to exit dsd!!! Hahahahaha!!!!
This DSD model makes too much money!! No exit this year!!! Keep guessing!! Y'all's conspiracy theories and false rumors crack me up!!!
Just got my new Malibu Friday. So ouch nicer then the Cruze........we will be here thru this year for sure. We are still years off from a complete dad exit. Not even close yet.
The only “news” you’ll get is when they tell you not to let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out!
Until then, pay attention to the details!
No news just rumors!!
DSD ending in April. Announcement coming at the end of January
Our new dad works we are not losing our jobs this year for sure.
No layoffs. The New DSD is a cash cow!!
That’s true, DSD must be here to stay since you are picking vacations 🤣🤣🤣🤣. If they were to skip vacation picks do you think it would be a bit of a “red flag”?
I remember the last big downsizing and I sat next to two woman that were let go. They should of just told them not to come! 🤣🤣
BUSINESS AS USUAL UNTIL THE END! That’s the best way to retain help! Mondelez has never given more than 60 days notice on positions being eliminated! They sure won’t start now! All that’s required by law!
Well reps and full time merchandisers are scheduled to pick our vacations next week for 2020 so looks like we'll be here next year.
Do you consider it a layoff when they're eliminating your position?
When DSD ends, Mondelez won’t! Who cares about cars! They can always transfer cars that are leased, like they already do! Makes sense too if they are switching to Malibu, management already drives those cruddy cars! Cheap company cars! Other companies are much more generous.....Hershey reps drive Subaru’s SUV.
Chevy Cruz for world’s largest snacking company? 🤣🤣🤣
Cars or no cars has zero to do with our future!
To the person that said we get new cars at 60,000+, you are wrong! It was bumped up to 70,000.
That is great news!!! A Malibu is much nicer and roomier. Can't wait to take a nap in it. I'm going to have to get some hobbies with all my free time. EDI will do my work for me, I just have to drive around looking cool in my new Malibu. Best company ever!!!!!!!
You get a new car every 60,000 miles ! Just got a new one! Stop the lies.
Spot on! And the time they have taken to set up for our exit, retention bonuses won’t happen! Stores will be far more capable than they were when kebbler exited. Gonna be a rude awakening for a lot of folks! Glad I’m not one of them!
I feel very sad for anyone that thinks the severance from Mondelez is going to be good. I've seen many severances over the years. Unless they make some substantial changes with this severance, people will be lucky to get $1,000 per year of service. The car, phone, etc, that Keebler received, not a chance we will keep our cars. We've always been the cheapest company when it comes to these things. ALL the money is at the top, NOT the bottom. We are peons...
“Here today, gone tomorrow”! Remember that cause that’s how this will work! You’ll know when they are ready to tell you, and not one minute before! Been there, done that!
There won’t be any “news” prior to the announcement. That’s how these things work.
If edi is the future then it looks like reps will be out of work since edi orders for you! Good luck with that!
I completely agree with you. 2020 will be no different and things will not change. Not to say 10 years from now or more we could eventually exit. We are still a long ways off!.......EDI is the future!
The reason the nestle folks got that kind of money in their severance was because they made twice the money of our merchandisers! Plain and simple! Don’t get your head wrapped around that figure, zero chance Mondelez’s packages will be even close!
I agree that they won’t give more notice than they have to!
Dont get your hopes up, there is a big difference between Mondelez and Nestle.
Nestle was not prepared for a DSD exit. Didn’t have all their infrastructure and ordering processes for warehouse in place. They had to give a longer notice and better package to keep people around much like Kellogs did.
Mondelez has been preparing for exit for years.. most everything is in place now. Al they have to do is flip the switch.
Don’t expect more than your 60 day at best
When they tell you! Quit asking!! You know it’s coming
When's are notice coming???
Yeah, I heard similar packages for Nestle and they pretty much had 6 months notice.
Just know, Nestle just exited DSD and they weren't the first and won't be the last. I believe we are up to bat next. Nestle gave a pretty sweet severance package if they stayed til the end. I know a 25 year frontline vet at Nestle that got close to 60k, an 8 year frontliner about 20k and 5 year DM that got 40k.
There are contracts with retailers!! Don't be so naive. 2 of the major retailers want us to go warehouse!! Once the contract is up we're done in those accounts.
Exactly. People thinking there are contracts and year end is in March. Just goes to show you people know little.
The trolls for years keep throwing out dates, just stop the nonsense already. WE all know it’s going to happen, we just don’t know when. FYI there’s no dsd contracts with stores, so stop throwing that lie out there.
Of course they are hiring! Why are they hiring? Because people are quitting and when they make the announcement, people will scramble for a new job. Severances don’t last long, way better to position yourself with steady employment! It’s coming!!
Just wondering what people think about this. Would they give the bare minimum of 60 days and have many of their employees scrambling to figure out how to pay their bills or would they drop close to 6 months like others who have recently exited. Pretty sure everyone is at least a little suspicious of what's happening in grocery retail.
February 18th announcement.
