You heard it here 1st colleagues. Fresh out of a conference call with corporate dipchits, we will have a new, double new, concentric scheduling kick off around 1/10 - 1/12.
No employee, position, or department is immune. Its applies to everyone.
Here's whats coming:
Lowe's will now recognize 32 hours as full time. Not 39, not 40. 32. And its our (managements) responsibility to run as close to that 32 as possible. Any more hours per week for a FT 'er is frowned upon and you better have a very good reason.
No more "set" schedules for anyone. Anyone from any department will be working 10 hr days, then a 5, maybe a 3. All over the place. So in one week, you can work a 10, a 5, a 3, a 10, and a 4 to make 32 hours.
You will also be scheduled any hours of store operating hours. Opens, closes, mids. 6 am to 10 one day, 2 pm to 11 the next.
Even Pro guys who are now scheduled to accommodate pro hours (typically 7-5 Mon thru Fri) will be subject to the same random concentric schedules. We managers were told that the MOD will be covering, and must if no Pros are scheduled.
