Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Questions about leave of absence.

When you're approved for a leave of absence by Sedgwick, do you still report the absence every day? If so, can you do it online or do you call Sedgwick?

Anything else?

I've searched the wire and can't find answers.

If its intermittent you still need to report the absence to Sedgwick daily, if its continuous then no, you do not report daily

Once your leave is approved you no longer need to call in everyday

You should have received a email from Sedgwick stating your leave was approved. You can also go on line and check it out. Once Sedgwick approves it the club should have been notified. And yes, Sedgwick should have taken you off the schedule.

Called Sedgwick, they said they didn't take us off the schedule, that was Sam's Club job.
My request was processed and approved. Sedgwick said they sent an email to the Club to that effect.
I'll try calling a manager. Thanks for the help.

  1. S. Sedgwick is the one that takes you off the schedule, not your facility so, again, check with Sedgwick to make sure that all your ducks are in a row.

Check in with Sedgwick to make sure that your request has been processed. The are supposed to send your direct manager an email informing them of your LOA. Contact your manager to make sure that Sedgwick has indeed taken you off of the schedule. At that point (1-2days after you put in your request with Sedgwick) you shouldn’t have to call in at all. But just touch badges with your Manager and have them check that you are, indeed, off of the schedule.
