Not that I believe that we will ever feel safe for our jobs again, at least not while this leadership is at the wheel, but it seems that we have reached the year 2020, the year that was often mentioned by the leadership as the deadline for the company to restructure. So what now? Are they just going to see another deadline and continue with the same practices or will they stop at least for a while?

Spend 55 cents to make 1 dollar or bust, no exceptions! Hopefully if that happens, those few that remain will be expected to train all of the new hires that will be required to repair this “€luster£uck”. They are correct that they will always have a huge pool to hire from, but I think at this point, they may have really limited the quality of the applicants willing to actually stay here. It must be really horrible working outside of the railroad now, or else they most likely get away with this.
Maybe in 2020 they can bring in people that know what they’re doing? That’ll be a nice change from the chumps we have now.
more cuts February.
Per Vena, another yr of significant change 2020 per an investor conference presentation, 2021 should be less change as major changes will have taken place. So folks hold on the rath of Omaha is still among us
Yes. The misery index will go from 8 to 10. 10 being the most miserable obviously.
They say they’re reducing holiday traffic every year then run the same trains or even more.
Let's just hope rail traffic picks up and no one else gets cut. This is the first time since 2016 that they have reduced operations during the holidays that I remember. Makes me nervous for the ones not layed off already.
There will still be people like DRO’s that don’t do anything but collect big pay checks. UP isn’t serious about PSR.
Something gotta give. They can’t keep just cutting. If your one of the lucky ones that haven’t got cut yet and still love with you do then count your blessings and keep chugging along. No point stressing about something beyond your control. Those of you reading this that complain....yea I get it but if you hate it so much then why would you torture yourself and still work for this company that you hate so much? I don’t agree with how the company is operating but I’m not gonna lie I still love what I do so I’m hoping for the best. Happy Holidays!!
May not be as hard and heavy as before but it will continue until there is no more possible pennies to pick up.
