Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Regular PTO

Every one of the managers in our club are now just making up lies about why our PTO isnt budging even though it shows it is supposed to be getting accrued. They just told an associate who has worked with Sam's since April hers isnt accruing bc she has to max out PPTO before regular PTO will accrue! We all get fed different bs each time we ask and our managers love to deny they say things to us. Can anyone please give me a phone number or email that I can get actual PTO info from? Our managers get HEATED when we question any of their bs that makes zero sense.

Managers can not control if you are not occurring PTO they have no way to do that. What do you people think there doing calling payroll at the Home Office and telling them to take your PTO away. I know there’s some DA managers out there but there’s also some that wants all the hourlies tobe treated fairly, happy workers are much more productive than unhappy workers.

There is a max for PTO
For full-timers with 7-10 years the max for PTO is 160 hours per year
PTO is earned at 1hour for every 15 hours worked
There are states/areas with exceptions

I too am angry. I never getting a straight answer to any question that has to do with my pay. I transferred from cashier to another higher paying full time job a couple months ago, yet am still receiving the same pay. Paycheck after paycheck, I'm told it is fixed and I'll be getting back pay and my correct pay. I don't. I'm frustrated and angry. I have bills to pay and kids to take care of. I don't know why there isn't a personnel officer in this area I can talk to. When I call the helpline, I'm told they can't discuss my pay without a manager present.

Thank you!
That does explain the PT employees that have zero PTO..I'm still curious about why my PTO isnt accruing though. I dont believe the managers are causing it not to accrue, honestly I don't think they have that ability..idk. However, I've been with the company for over 8 years and I am indeed fulltime. The breakdown shows I should be accruing time (about 00:48 per day) but my available PTO hasn't changed in months. I understand I maxed out at 48 for PPTO but was under the impression there wasn't a max out for PTO.

Managers lying? No way. That doesn't happen.

Either that or they are clueless. They pretend not to know about anything: coming down the pipe, current, etc. Policy is followed when it benefits them, ignored when it doesn't. That goes for the Wire too.

You don't earn PTO unless you're full time or have been with the company for 3 years. If you're full time or have been with the company for 3 years and a manager is somehow denying you your PTO, contact ethics immediately. If you're just part time and under 3 years, you will accrue PPTO only and Very slowly.
