Keep spreading the rumors! Helps me out ;) Half my team is gone now working jobs they hate because they listened to these kinds of rumors. While I still have a job for the foreseeable future at Oracle due to our teams profits and small headcount. I hope everyone has a wonderful 2020.

OK, so are you hiring? Since you have a "small headcount"? How's that been going?
I must say there are a lot of unhappy and resentful people on here. That being said these posts are pretty funny and as always mostly false. You make it seem like Oracle is the only tech company that has ever laid off people.

Oracle will be looking for cost-cutting wherever they can find it. If your group is profitable, they will not be happy with that, they will look for ways to increase the profits, like moving all the work to India. If you are hiring, they'll make you hire people somewhere cheap, regardless of whatever profits you might be responsible for.
All companies do the same thing. If you owned a car company, you'd put out a new car, when you get it popular and profitable, then you start replacing parts with cheaper plastic parts to improve your profit margin. No one leaves profit alone. Something will be screwed up for you. The people who left you have seen the light, you should too. Get your plan together to get out. Now is the time.

So, your former teammates took new jobs in haste, didn’t do their research and that’s the fault of a crowdsourced lay-off site?
You must be a joy to work with. Maybe that’s why they left.
Or, maybe your group will just be gone, since you are the only one left. I expect moving the work to India would be the next step for you. No reason to keep the work with your group if you can't keep people working for you.
