I'd never go back. My experience at Oracle, overall was positive, despite all of the corporate shenanigans. I worked with some great people, my manager and his manager are both fantastic people and I liked the work I did. Sorry it had to end but going back means going backwards, it would never be the same. I've moved on and I am satisfied with how things turned out.

focus on the changes in your life. start by telling them you have no moral compass. senior management will love it.

Wish I could upvote this a thousand times..... the dishonest do well at Oracle.

There are other options besides the standard 9-5 job.

Consider coming up with some good ideas, building websites and selling advertising. Pick something you know something about, could be just a hobby of yours. Even if you don't know how to build a website there is always starting a blog with wordpress. There are lots of ways to make money on your own.

This has to be a fake post. Who actually wants back in? Not unless they pay you a ton of money and beg you on their knees.

I know several who came back, to more money, so that can be a legitimate way to get a raise at O. Maintain contact with former coworkers, they can refer you for any openings. Or watch for openings on O's web site or even the job search sites.

I'm with others though, why bother? O skills often do transfer quite well into IT positions. Good luck to you whatever you do.

If your skills don't work for other companies, you need to get some new skills.

Seriously, you don't want back in. There are better places to work.

If you are out of development, you might try getting a job in IT where they might be using oracle software. That would be one way to use your existing skills outside of Oracle. I know some people who have gone into IT from Oracle development.

I know of a few people who came back. If you can fill a need, you can get rehired.
