Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Next pulse survey.

The company really needs to know about the shady company they pay to handle our disability claims. Sedgwick is a terrible company and only cause way more stress. (Yes, I know it benefits Verizon) but we need to speak up and voice it!
I mean why would Verizon want to associate with a company that only has one star?? They have awful reviews. But maybe Sedgwick will get sued one day for how they like to override your doctors orders and that will drag Verizon’s name in to too. Especially if we keep telling them.

Anyone employed by Verizon knows Verizon themselves are as shady as they come.

Sedgewick was terrible for me. My Dr wanted me out for 8 weeks Sedgewick said 6. Who are they to go over your Drs head? Who knows best the Dr or someone that sits at a computer?

Sedgwick has been great for the 1 claim I have opened with them. It was approved quickly and I submit intermittent absences online and none ha e been denied. Only issue is my doctor certified the claim for 1 year but Verizon only allows Sedgwick to certify claims for 6 months.

It’s not just Sedgewick it’s every insurance company out there. Car , home , medical etc ..all work against you when trying to make a claim. Why? It all comes down to fraud. Insurance fraud is out of control but sadly the legitimate claims are put on the defensive every time.
