Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Optum cares about employees less and less

I work for this company for 10 years. When I started it was great. As the years passed they cared about there employees less and less. The nurses pay was well below the average for same position in other areas I worked from home but out of the lisle office. If our system went down we were told either take pto or make it up. No support. New people coming in have very little training and leave quickly. They no longer care about the employees. No more summer picnic. No Acknowledgment of the holidays. We were told no more nurses day because then they would have to celebrate all the other department. I have never worked for a company where I was treated so poorly. The final straw was when my manager to us if we need to go to the bathroom other than on our break we need a drs note. So sad cause I really used to enjoy going to wok

People need to write medicare and medicaid in regards to how they can lay off people but to the ones left they simply extend days because they are so slammed..giving away free days without reviewing is a huge example of Fraud , Waste and abuse..The members really need to.know how decisions regarding there care is being made...

Its true. They want us in our cubicles. We have to report to supervisor if and why we spend more than 5 minutes away from our computers.
