I was one to get furloughed this morning but after thinking it over, I’m not worried at all. I know our union will come together and disallow these actions Norfolk Southern is bestowing on us. Guys just wait, we’ll have our job back by next week. Union Strong!!!

the first thing t.w,u. did was cut out our xmas party because there were less people paying in because of layoffs but if there are less people paying in then there would be less at the party to pay for so that makes no sence the real reason is that the little union trips to las vegas have to be saved and we wouldn't want to deprive our hard working and "honest"union officials of there vegas trips
What did you expect. A great many of the union members use the union to get out of work and then when the jobs go you blame the company for trying to make more profits. If you are willing to work, short lines and contracting is rapidly growing. Times are changing, grow with it or don’t, your choice.

You better worry. Unions can’t do a damn thing about this. I was furloughed back in November and yet nothing has been done. NS knows exactly what they are doing, more money in their pockets and for the shareholders. NS will soon be just a transportation company outsourcing all their work. It’s happened at JLS where I came from. Be smart and take the unemployment for 6 months. You won’t be called back.
