Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

How are things at Cisco?

I left a while ago, I was hoping things have improved since then but judging by the posts I quickly skimmed through here, that seems unlikely.

Has anything gotten better or are things the same? Or even worse? I have no specific reason for asking other than curiosity and hope my former coworkers are doing better.

Same here, I left over a year ago. This has been the best decision of my career. I am now in a better place where I feel valued and don’t need to worry about being replaced by my managers cousin or brother in law that wants to move to the us. Yes it happens at Cisco....

It's the bi-yearly RIFF cycle, the mass reorg/rethink of strategy every 5 years with accompanying cull of the heard. Sh1t gets old....really f'n old.

Post a video of yourself with a smile and a thumb's up or face HR's wrath during next layoff cycle. It seems best to be "excited" or "super-excited" over daily business occurrences.
