All ARASA supervisors will be eliminated throughout the system, over 500 jobs affected. Shift Managers will run the crew.

Sounds like the Union is more corrupt then any railroad. And they can do that
I for one still do not understand why “grand lodge” says we can not strike? Is this not a case of misrepresentation of its Union members, to which they jobs have become eliminated? Sure they say 178 total foreman will be out, but how about those of us who are all ready furloughed? Can anyone explain how in the hell they are able to the money we all paid, when they have allowed our job to vanish without a fight? As I watch this go through the more I feel misrepresented and mislead from this Union and the company!!
So if there is like $163K left in the local bank account, what happens to that money? Being it won’t have any members left!
Union really stepped up. All the years paying dues for nothing. How bout a refund of dues? What unions next? Who got bought off?
So me as a foreman I should have the right to bump back to my tools where my senority carries yet I been told I have to bump the lowest man . My job is going away period.

Car Foreman, is the job title. That’s just a mind game twist some managers started calling the foreman. The funniest part is some of the dumb a$$es started calling themselves Mechanical Car Supervisors!!!!

Question for anyone furlough,does how much is COBRA insurance? I really need my health insurance until I get another job.
Here’s the problem. I’ve been with the railroad since 97. A lot of the managers now days can’t manage a f—ing roadside taco stand let alone a group of 40 guys. And not including the tower foreman who is in charge of the electric switches and all of the traffic coming and going from departures. I see a sh– show in our near future.
That GC wants to fight now that it’s going to affect him. He ain’t done sh*t about any of the other furloughs besides agree with the company
Bust the union it's already done all other unions to follow get ready it's coming union representatives are worthless

Sisters and Brothers,
I am reaching out to each of you to give you an update regarding the rumor of managers taking over for Locomotive and Car Supervisors across Union Pacific.
On January 03, 2020, I spoke with Vice President of Mechanical and acting Chief Mechanical Officer Jeremey Givens about the rumor. Mr. Givens informed me that, Union Pacific is in the early stages/planning to convert the Mechanical Department to non-unionized supervision. While there is no official date of the transition, Mr. Givens indicated it will happen sooner rather than later. I have been in constant contact with TCU/ARASA National Representative Steven Hirschbein. TCU/ARASA will aggressively fight this UNION BUSTING action. We have a meeting set for January 27, 2020 with Union Pacific and TCU/ARASA. We will send an update following the meeting. We will continue to keep members posted on FACTUAL events.

Problem with NOT RENEWING THEIR CONTRACT is it is not just UP it is all railroads!
Makes sense, thats why we have seen more manager jobs open lately. Looks like they are protecting the guys they like before firing all the foreman. Most likely not going to renew the contract on the next round since it has been expired. For everyone else these next contracts are going to be very interesting. I bet they are going to be garbage. Best way to get rid of more workers.
What about their contract? What about buyouts? What about seniority?
What is a shift manager? We have one manager?
Is this all crafts?
and in other news, the sky is blue, train crews will be eliminated, and management cannot manage themselves out of a paper bag if their lives depended on it...
