Managers/Supervisors retaining on Reliability

In the store I work in, I've heard over and over again managers saying to associates, just deny it and I'll ok it. Reliability starts with retraining the so called managers and supervisors on what reliability is and how it's supposed to work.

I am now a flex employee, after being cut from part time in the 2018 bloodbath. We can’t just shut registers and go. About 5 minutes before closing, we put up chains, put armor on some of the diamond cases, pull the rest of the jewelry and close final register. We never get out at closing, always 15 minutes or more later. Every week I have to disagree with reliability. What is the point of this? We have to stay to do this.

reliability is not actively manipulated in my store, it's just that the managers are too damn lazy to even look at it. I had like 47 alerts in the last couple of months and I have 100% reliability.

Due to managers playing favorites and changing schedules to their favorites whim...many of us others have to stay longer to work with a customer. It is very rare that I leave when I am supposed too. While cosmetics leaves whenever they feel like it leaving the other areas to take care of their areas too.

My store they do the same thing. The reason is. Nobody wants to work for Macy’s. So the “ manager “ have to play “ let the associates walk all over you “ game. They keep people in my store out of fear of no replacement if they leave. These coworkers try to dodge their duty all day until a “ manager “ walks in The stock room is a disaster, the harder working associates get the brunt of all the work while the lazy , slackers dodge their duty take long lunches , come in late , leave early , do shoty work while they are there and I have complained and nothing happens.

Same thing in the Macy's I work. Managers, Supervisors and Leads are scared of the associates running to HR and they will end up losing their jobs, so they compile to these "bullies" Associates. The associates will come to work late and tells the manager to DMET the time to the time they come into work. Same when they want to leave early. It's always the same people.

Reliability is just terrrrrible. My store adds an extra 45 minutes after closing to colleagues shifts (which no one ever stays that late, even the mangers) thanks to DMET, which reliability is now punishing them for leaving at the time management leaves. So managers just tell them "deny the notification, and i'll okay it."
