I was laid off at the beginning of the year and I decided to get my CDL. I am now working for a local company making great money and being treated like a valued employee. I won’t return to the RR industry after experiencing life outside of it. I have 9 years seniority on the RR and can’t work. What a joke!

I’ve never make 100k and I worked my tail off. Must be different working conditions around the system.
Thats great this us what normaly happens.As long as everything is ok most railroaders wont leave.Where can you make 100k have benefits like rr and do as little wrk per day as rr do.If you follow all the darn procedures and warm up to wrk along with stupid paper wrk and reports including lunch and stuip breaks you can only do 5 hrs wrk out of 8 give me a break who would want to leave.
