This email was sent to all salaried leaders yesterday. Talk about adding insult to injury.
SEA Leaders,
Effective January 1, 2020, we have transitioned our salaried workforce from a traditional time-off model that designated the type of time (vacation, sick and hourly) to a flexible paid time off (“Flexible PTO”) plan. The Flexible PTO plan allows salaried Ambassadors to take time off as needed without limiting the amount of Flexible PTO that can be taken, provided requests for time off are made in advance with timely management approval and fall within the policy guidelines. This policy is based on mutual trust between employer and employee. It gives Ambassadors opportunities to work or take time off as they see fit, as long as they continue to fulfill their job duties while maintaining their employment consistent with company policy.
The new policy is attached and will be posted on the SEA Intranet for you to refer to throughout the year.
Managers, please take time to review the policy this week and discuss it with your salaried team at the next available opportunity to ensure there is aligned understanding of the policy and the benefits it provides. If you have any questions, please reach out to your local HR leader for additional perspective.
