Red badge in CX here. I haven't heard of any furlough for any red badges in my area of CX, or any layoffs for that matter.

I'm in CX. I haven't been told I'm LR'd or heard anything about another 40 hr furlough, so I'm hoping I'm good to go for the rest of the year.

I'm surprised to hear "another 40 hr furlough". When was the first one? There was the year-end shutdown that affected everyone in the U.S., but that was only 3 days or 24 hrs in addition to the Cisco holidays. I did hear that there were BU's like IT-Eng and other's that added and additional 5 days/40 hrs at the year-end making it a full two-week shutdown for red-badges.

I've just seen all the red badges in my area of CX be told they have another 40 hour furlough to deal with before the end of the FY.

All those redbadges to be LR'ed in CX have been notified. If you have not received notification, you are safe, for NOW.

I wish Cisco the best, and genuinely do miss working there; but the tide has shifted. I hope Cisco can figure out the right balance of revenue from licensing. The technology has finally shifted; migrate to virtual and host it in the cloud. If you need dedicated high-bandwidth infrastructure (routing/switching), in house, there are (truly now) many low-end cost alternatives emerging. Going finally over to the customer side, I am amazed how easy it is to implement and maintain. Cisco still makes great gear, but the subscription and licensing component is still a major pain to implement, track, and maintain. It can honestly be a nightmare still. I wish Cisco the best but not sure where all this is going. The stock price reflects the market direction to a commodity IT future. Hang in there folks.

Red badges being let go, stock down, some teams informed, and 9-blocks sent out to teams.

Oh - and it's Cisco, we're an acquisitions company. The game Cisco is playing is to buy companies, strip them to bare bones headcount (so they run cheaply), s— them dry, then sell the left overs.

Every year there will be layoffs as long as this is our operating model. That is how they strip to bare bones headcount.
