As a long term employee it hurts to admit on hearing the Xerox name the “magic” is gone.

The esteem and respect that x once had in the outside world was lost a long time ago. Nowadays, the response to "Where do you work?" Is "oh" (at best). Used to be more like awesome.

Used to be. But they’ve done so much recently that I have to say I am ashamed.

:changing severance without notice
:401k payout change
:layed off employees cannot return if they touched their pension or 401k
:blatant loading of exec level with Ex-HP
:CEO public embarrassment
:CEO “I don’t know what a tech powerhouse is”
:C level demeaning of women
:making up stories for Wall Street, eg 3D metal being commercially viable with Vader
:Actually posting for a job titled “Chief Storyteller”

I’m sure others have more to add, but these things changed my mind.

I was proud when we were a private owned core, when global took over the corporate b—s— kicked in, then I got badged over to HCL and The bullys running Xerox caused this huge sh–storm we are all in currently, I got my first bonus and now are actively looking for another job, a few have got out already, so I will be super proud when I leave this hellhole

If I wasn't proud I wouldn't have been here as many decades as I have. I work with a great bunch of people, and at least my first few levels of management care about the company, the products and especially the people. I can't say this is true as you go up further in the management chain, but that is sadly true at many companies.

When Anne was CEO, I did feel that she cared about both the company and people, and I was especially proud to be an employee at that time having gone through a couple tough years around 2000.

Ursula didn't give a damn about the people, but I was still proud to be an employee as her attitude didn't flow all the way down to my management. We worked with what we had, developed good products, and got paid well (at the time.)

Look around at your own group and own organization. Are you proud to be part of that? Do you like the people you work with, the immediate management you report to, and the products you develop, service, market and sell?

It doesn't matter what is happening at the top. Job satisfaction starts with you. You can be proud of the work you are doing at any company, no matter how c-appy the company is. If you can't, then it really is better for both you and the company to find something different.

Yes I am proud of my Xerox journey..Xerox may not be doing very well for few years and the attitude of leadership may be questionable but I am sure people still inside want to make it proud and brand to live long..I am one of them..Lets not disrespect the wonderful people who have given so much and got so much here

I was proud of our core before we were acquired by Global Imaging Systems. After that, meh. Once Xerox kicked it into high gear a year ago, h3ll no. I have nothing good to say about Xerox. I will stick it out for awhile, as I love my co-workers, but at this point, it’s just a paycheck. Xerox succs.

It is embarrassing! You read JV letters and it is so unprofessional. Why would potential customers read that and want to do business? It is Ichan really talking but having JV write the note just gives a bad message that is in poor taste.

It would interesting to see the results of the "recent" corporate employee survey, which probably won't see the light of day.

Company pride is tough to come by, since the corp debacle of ~year 2000, HRH Burns, with the arrival of icahn's gang of lying thieves. The only pride i have left is doing a good job and the teamwork of my peers; otherwise, it's a paycheck

Am I proud to be a Xerox employee? those who say "No" and still continue to work day in and day out should leave. If you don't have self. Those who continue to work and are proud of our support, and products, that is what work is about. I see customers still coming back to Xerox, mostly from Ricoh.

Only when I'm interviewing for a new job. The brand has value. I feel shame and disgust when I'm in the office. Carl Icahn and his team are nothing but blood s—ing vampires.
