All hands by WebEx scheduled Dec 3 for my engineering business unit. Suspect layoff news will be announced by VP then those laid off will get brief 1-on-1 meetings with their manager (or HR) very very soon afterwards. Clip, clip, clip. This is speculation, but we'll find out soon.

I'll never forget reading about the sale of my building. Why would Cisco be selling so many buildings? Well, the ELT wants to quietly layoff people in San Jose and move work overseas. Poland, India, and Mexico.
I’m not sure what BU the OP was in, but there is was a senior VP in SP announcing his departure on the 4th.

Layoff may happen this year , but will not big number Im predicting , however predicting in 2020 and 2021 big layoff may happen, big reorganization in SW along with migrating to be a SW and service company almost complete. This is only prediction and speculation, please don't believe it
A poster several weeks back stated that the layoffs would happen Dec 3. This all hands is Dec 3rd. Plus our all hands have always been in person. But yeah, it is possible that this is nothing more than a regular all hands.
