I can count at least 10 or more employees that should be let go, but since they are so far up managements you know what their safe. Walk around and you see them on their cell phones or walking around wasting other employees time. Sad thing is that even the work being sent abroad is being performed by robots disguised as humans. No thought process, they just perform the work and want someone to review it for them for mistakes. I work extremely hard, so much that one task completed has another task waiting for me to complete and my days go very fast. I know my days are numbered because I'm not part of the s— up crew in my BU. Good luck to all of you that want to continue to be employed in this joke of a corporation.

The constant demands for evidence and “So much for Black Monday lol“ type comments are insulting to those who have been displaced. A 5,000 head lay-off means that folks on average will know 10 displacees. Unless you work in a small sequestered group with little or no interaction beyond your row, there’s no way that you don’t know a few already.

I was let go this morning along with a peer. Role elimination, yet the firing manager hired 3 people in PGH that will perform the function the two of us performed. The stress is off the charts, glad to be out of the BNYM stalag, hopefully I can land a new opportunity before my SUB ends. Good luck to all being let go this round, put your faith in God.
Layoffs are happening everywhere. EMEA, Pune, Ireland, Poland, Pitt, Florida, NYC, Brooklyn. I would think by Friday you would have the total #. I know many people are not in the office today. Possibly letting some go now & some January to get around the WARN Act.

To those of you saying that the layoffs will continue through Xmas or won’t be completed until your year-end review is locked in the system, what’s your basis for saying this? I’m not saying you’re incorrect, but there are ways for you to share the basis of your information without outing yourself.
They are not laying off until your year end performance review is completed and locked.
Although I really hate being here, and putting up with all the BE- BS, toxic atmosphere and job insecurity. I guess I should be glad I was not laid off, as it gets me a little closer to retirement.
The layoffs are staggered throughout the month ... they will keep happening until Christmas
