Ok. I’m at the shopping mall and about to make a $450 purchase for my sons Christmas present... need to know before I make this big purchase. Are layoffs happening? I don’t want to have to pay interest on this credit card bill. Should I or shouldn’t I? Thanks in advance.
Just now saw this and checked online. I know of at least 3 others like the guy yesterday that just get laid off with no fan fare. This is our reality my fellow SWN teammates. One off layoffs will be the norm.

You were not “laid off”, you were terminated as part of a strategic org chart reduction, likely for poor performance or to save bonus pool money for others. Merry Christmas!!
Just getting over the shock. I was laid off today. Got a great mid year review and was exceeding my goals. Just business. Depressed as I did not see this coming at me.

Has anyone else heard of our leadership looking to layoff employees so that others that remain can get a bonus? Seems odd but plausible?

This just in: They definitely DON’T want to retain all employees. They are actively trying to figure out the best way to get rid of your a$$, with the least amount of payoff and a small chance of you suing them for discrimination. If you’re a white male over age 45, you especially have a target on your back. Good luck and ‘‘tis the season!

Just saw that about bonuses and I got a source who confirmed bonuses but with A kicker that pay raises will be larger than normal as they want to retain ALL employees
SWN won’t layoff before Christmas. They had ample time in August, Sept, etc. I am hearing bonuses will be zilch, except for Ways cronies and circle (jerk) of trust. So if you’re planning an exit strategy based on bonuses, you’re in for a big disappointment.
I just got put on “Special Projects” and lost my Director title. What does this mean for me? What special projects do we have? I think those two rooms in the hallway to the garage are set up as “war rooms”. Likely for layoffs.
Say it ain’t so. How heartless of them. I fear the worst here. Mr Way, please don’t do layoffs!
