They are having a hard enough time keeping the managers that they have now. Why would they recommend the low-performing, low-scoring manager to go a different club? I thought the year beginning meeting was in October?

I'm a thirty year associate. Three of the jobs I've had were eliminated. Who cares anymore. What will be will be.

They have been subjectively eliminating long term salaried associates for the past 4 years at these hack sessions... I mean "meetings" in Dallas in January. No real objective reasonings behind them except some egotistical regional or MM's prejudices. It's actually pretty disgusting the way they pinpoint and decide with basis on the clubs successes or the persons work history with the company.
The more you make, no matter how good you are, the higher chance you will be eliminated. Some market managers have CM's coach assistants at the end of the year just so they can make it seem like they are under performers. MM's do the same thing in my market with CM's. Sh– always rolls downhill always at Sam's. Why some underperformers were given heads up and transferred to Walmart's or HO. This place is a joke and the leadership has no clue what they are doing. All flying by the seat of their pants. Glad to be outta here soon.

TGIG! Thank goodness I'm gone! Bunch of no good brainless people in charge of corporate and individual clubs now. Nobody can trust a CM to evaluate their managers. They will only give good reviews to the ones that kiss up.

I wonder if these tramleads who are under performing will get a chance to take severance pay?🤔 Most likely not. Shame on this company for how they treat their long term associates.

What is expected of a team lead and what would be an underperforming team lead?

Realignment is scheduled to be announced the last week of January. GM's had to rate each coaches performance months ago, GM's will meet with the Market Manager and discuss performance of each coach the beginning of the last week of January. The Market Manager will then decide if they would like to keep you at your current club or if you'd be a better fit for a club within your market. The Market Manager can move coaches anywhere within a 50 mile radius. The company will be taking the assistant roles per club from 6 to 3.

Coaches that were rated low on performance will have an option to take a small severance package or to find a open hourly position in another club.

Coaches rated the Team Leads on their performance a few months back as well. Coaches have been told that any under performing Leads should be asked to step down or gained prior to the 1st of the year. This is to open up positions for displaced coaches.
