Fake news or not, it would be nice if people on this forum spoke comprehensible English. Oh wait, that is a ongoing problem with our day to day operations on the job.
Fake news or not. Layoffs are happening, although not in the numbers various postings here have mentioned. Let’s face if you are long term employee you must be feeling the laser on the back of your head. Every week you all see the ‘new blood’ coming In espousing all their rhetoric about how google Microsoft whomever runs their projects. We’ve seen this here for many years. All the BS while all those old times keep the banks systems running just to get the ultimate reward....BE review😢
For thous who very naive. Even on meeting they confirm lay off will be continued. However targeting people over 50 with +20 years of experience should and will not quit, they defensively will wait to package (if SUB can be named as package but it still better than nothing).
People don’t quit, your turn may never come, they are scaring by showing small lay-off! By now you should know the game! Let’s not quit, benefit this company provide is awesome!
Appears that management doesn’t like the pot to be stirred. Perhaps shaking is better?
HR is posting here to create uncertainty so that people quit on their own saves them million on Sub. Money saving game!
1) Save money on Sub if people leave on their own
2) Keep them away from publicity
3) They do not have enough HR resource to lay off in that number.
If people leave on their own less headache!
If music be the food of love, then play on!
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die
More people were let go today in Brooklyn. Layoffs are supposed to continue all month long & continue into the new year.
People got laid off today at 240... It's definitely not done
I posted fake numbers
It's spread out over time
May be it not a thousands for each waive but definitely it thousands in a totals I would say targeting 2-3 years picture. Unfortunately culture of this company changed drastically. They indeed targeting people over 50 with 20+ years of experience. They include few people in each waive with different credentials but just avoid class action. The worst part - employee not fill anymore that this is a company of equal opportunities. They start to ask one question more and more often: "if company not loyal to me why I should stay loyal to this company?" . In addition employee don't fill safe from bad management such us managers favoritism, workplace bully, not ethic behavior etc. Before you always could complain to a personal, but now I think all managers received carte blanche especial those who not defense their worker but rather sell them to save expenses.
Much like the bank does on glass door, it Looks like the bnym is paying people to post here too.
Firstly the layoffs haven't finished. Secondly, if your department is unscathed then bully for you. There are a lot of locations and departments in this bank, and I have friends and colleagues that are confirmed impacted. They target high cost locations and employees in bank over 20 years.
I agree. There was not one layoff at my location. In fact we are hiring, just hired three within the past month already. Get people all worked up for nothing.
Lots of trolls and people attempting to stir the pot. No one here really knows anything.
