F— Weatherford. Send people to engineer training for a f—ing month only to lay them off 15 minutes outside of Houston and after completing the whole f—ing course.

One final round of layoffs before we get out of bankruptcy. No debt and low staff numbers will make us easier to sell. The new owners will see the senior managers as waste they can trim to make the deal sound better. Weatherford won’t have to spend money on severances of manager, the managers will be doing what they do best by kissing the new owners @$$es, and the old workers get hired back at a lower rate. Heard Completions are needing to hire now but the global hiring freeze is totally screwing them. The same folks blocking the hiring will be the folks slamming the business for not delivering in a few months time. What a mess.
Completions are only busy because they sell half decent products for less than the manufacturing cost
What are quiet order books? Hasn't completions lost money every month?
In macro terms, the company is not making money. Its over. Throwing good money after bad now. Time to accept this now
Every product line, other than Completions, have quiet order books. If it’s not making money, it gets cut.
Surprise surprise, Weatherford management not included in the layoffs again. How many soldiers can they cut until they have to start cutting the multiple unneeded levels of management at the tumbling service company.
