Cisco sales culture is corrupted and feeds wrong practices and culture. Sales being so strong makes every decision very short-term focused and lack of real strategy. Add to that incompetent management people leave. Company has been continously lowering hiring bar and is full of b—s—ters, skivers, pretenders, brown-nosers.
With all that you have a recipe for disaster which is unfolding....

I was being paid well but left for a cloud provider and over the clouds since then.
The depressing toxic culture, having to defend half products to customers was a daily torture.
Cisco is a sinking ship.

Outsourcing companies, bad hiring, competition from other networking companies, networking gurus getting lured by Facebook, google, juniper, Arista, VMware and startups have taken a tool on Cisco systems. Another reason is that Cisco stock was stuck in late teens and early 20s for a long time. This lead to many leaving the companies for start ups.

Our ELT is utterly worthless.

But hey. At least we get to sacrifice our PTO for the holidays.

Personal Time Off. Yeah about that .

When it is mandatory to take it? It's not personal.
