They don’t typically do random unannounced job eliminations. It’s usually announced months ahead of the event so that the workers have plenty of time to worry about it.

You can be laid off at any moment, all they have to say is we have eliminated your position.

Title is " rumors" and aptly so. If this is on UAW, the agreements already been reached and it's posted online that there are offers being made to UAW as voluntary, so there's really nothing new in this post. reminds me of the guy last year that kept putting posts up anout another round of PRP is coming, posted every month, for six months and he was just making the whole thing up.

Senior level should all be laid off. Because of their decisions Ford has lost market share and much more.

Only thing I remember them saying was no "Blue Collar Layoffs". AFAIK they stayed true to their word regarding this.

What I do think is on the table if SHTF in 2020 is the pensions for white collar will be frozen.

This instead of a DIVI cut.

I don’t have a lot of trust in what they say. If I remember correctly in 2018 they said there would be no layoffs because so many people took advantage of the PRP offers in prior years. By the end of the year they were working on SRD and that took out a lot of good senior people in early 2019. I appears that they are not concerned about head count, they are trying to replace experienced (more expensive) resources with (less expensive) “fresh ideas”. Saying head count will be flat is technically correct because they’re eliminating senior people and replacing them with people at the beginning of their careers. Head count remains flat but overall resource cost decreases.

The guy @ the top said "No Layoffs"

Well I guess there are levers to pull.

Question would be - if there is any truth to this is how it could potentially affect the white collar staffing.
