Im giving up my conductor job after 9 years this place is terrible I’m close to being furloughed. What a joke I can’t belive I wasted my 20s here. Have fun ya all thank god jobs are plentiful where I live. $285.00 a day isn’t very much If you can only make it 9 months out of the year and then you have to pa for Job insurance on top of it in case you get fired. Which who cares this place ain’t worth it anymore anyways.

Trying to pump more money into the hardworking shareholders pockets. They said they would be at 55 by the end of the year and sadly just putting 200 in storage isn’t going to do that especially since they will be pulling quite a few of those locomotives back out of storage to replace the locomotives that are breaking do to poor/pencil whipping maintenance, splash and go servicing and ignoring the people that work on them telling them a locomotive needs to be shopped and not sent back out.

Probably have to get BNSF to help us move them I don't think we have 200 still running.

Maybe it is because it is coming down to the end of the fourth quarter and they are nowhere near the 55% operating ratio they want by 2020?

I know the military appreciation, employee appreciation, and the big boy need to be stored. I don’t know about the 197.

Because that’s easy to do. Store loco furlough people. That’s the quickest way to get money back.
The better long term investment would be to fix ongoing problems. Invest in track maint invest in all aspects of mech shop work. Instead of making due with what you have actually get people the parts tools needed to do the job. While I don’t have much experience in transportation. If they deal with what the mech side does everyday there is so much to improve on. They won’t cause that takes time and money and someone to actually start holding people accountable no matter what color hat you wear.
