For national team.. RNs concerned about their current positions should maybe apply-not that care management is any safer, why another 50, are they going to lay off the more senior ICMs who make more then hire cheaper? It takes money and time to train, ugh. So confused.

I don't seen these jobs posted on uhg.com. Can you share a link?
All requisitions are for show. We have a budget to upkeep so we must keep spending down our budget for advertising roles even if they are fake. It’s good PR to show you are hiring even if you aren’t actually hiring. We have to keep posting jobs. Even in hiring freezes.
Curious if the company has plans to offshore these 50 positions and the reqs are just for show.
Requisition # 857314 approved for 50 ICM positions
Foreign RNs telling us to take poison? Seriously?
So I"m confused. If you're an Indian medical professional and you come to the US you have to get additional training. Is UHG hiring non-qualified nurses in India and calling them RN's? US RN means certain things and if you're calling someone a RN and their not, is that fraud?
But also think of our competition. RNs in India can do our jobs for 7K a year. So UHG seems intent on hiring them. So technically they could be having a hiring party abroad meanwhile our poor RNs are left jobless. I’m sorry but American RNs are the best. We love USA RNs! Also, just in case of future times of war, would you really want a virtual RN telling you to take poison for those of us that aren’t medical and would be vulnerable to trust their expertise while they take advantage as foreign RNs to harm us? While they are cheaper this isn’t wisdom to go offshore. Dear God please keep our American RNs employed! As I’ve looked around for jobs I’ve seen them claim a RN shortage in USA however USA RNs are often overworked and under appreciated. So new grads didn’t choose nursing as a career. Now we’re in a tight spot because we have good older RNs but they are now vulnerable to layoffs because significantly cheaper RNs are waiting to be hired offshore. It’s just a mess.
It’s to meet 2019 bottom line. They have time to recoup in New Year- they are not paying severance until 2020
Is that a rumor or fact? If they're hiring, then why would the layoff and give severance to others? Doesn't make sense....
