Guessing Game

This last offer had an “off payroll” date of 12/21.

Place your guess as to when the company will see fit to tell people whether or not they are retiring or not
I’m guessing 12/16.

Everyone who put in for it got it, even if you were told for example 2 people would get it, if 5 put in for it, all 5 got it. Basically if you said yes to the ISP, your last day is tomorrow (end of week).

Ok. Wednesday is another day.
NY was not given anything official yet.

Maybe time to change this method ( if there is one) so that future escapees get more than 2 days notice?
Doesn’t seem to be an insurmountable problem. This is a hell of a way to treat people with 30+ years.

People in Pennsylvania and NJ were notified today around 3:30pm. My last day is Friday. If you haven’t gotten word yet, I’d ask the union and supervisor first thing in the morning.

Perhaps you should address your complaint to the union as well. They likely have some handle on numerous individuals who have accepted, and what NCSD is the anticipated cut-off. You pay dues for not only advocacy, but also for information.

It’s Tuesday and still no word. Just silence from our workforce friendly company.
Thanks boys! Sure won’t forget this last disrespect we can all share together. NY Tel wouldn’t do it this way. Company sure went to hell since those days, huh?
Won’t ever look back.

Contractually they have until Wednesday (December 18th) to inform you of a schedule change for the following week...so if you’re going to be off the payroll, they’ll have to let you know by 3:00pm on the 18th. Kinda stinks that they won’t give you any more notice than that.

16th or 18th sounds about right. But would it really shock you if you were told the day of?

What a company.
