I was on the rebadge list and declined. However I have spoken to coworkers who went (both tech and mgr) and none have much good to say, other than that it's a job until they find something better. I've read articles that the attrition rate for this company is pretty high. I personally know a couple who have already quit.

Positives and negatives. Positives are the benefits are still good and it’s like a normal company, naturally the health premiums are more but VZ is the big exception to the norm and those with VZ healthcare should consider themselves lucky. 401k is decent and there’s the comfort of not worrying about RIFs. There are some good SPMs on their side depending on the unit. Negatives are more at a Sr Mgr/Director level in my opinion. Some are absolutely terrible at communicating and there is no insight whatsoever at what would be the VZ mgr level/SMTS and lower. Also depending on office location, I’d you’re in TX it is like a sweat shop, other areas are much more conducive to work being done as opposed to micromanaging. One thing also is constant shuffling of team and the stability is not good and relying on cheap resources k–ls productivity and this goes back to the management side. Realizing it’s a service company dependent on margins can be a different thought process for many. All things considered it’s not as bad as anticipated and really boils down to how you are working for. Some are absolute slaver drivers with no clue how to treat employees while others have good management skill (very similar to what is at VZ, depends on your boss).

Some will say I am crazy but I like it. My VP knew little about what we did and less about technology. Now I can talk with leaders who understand technology.

Working for VZ is much different than at INFY.

Yes, continue to work for the international firm on the east coast. The company wants more business and not just with VZ.
