More fake reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed

For a company that is supposed to be unconcerned with what is said about them on these and other websites, they sure are keeping close tabs on the commentary made there. While there were always questionable reviews being left in both places, they've gone into overdrive recently, with five-star reviews being left by people who have clearly never worked for UP or any other railroad.

All I can say to everyone is keep spreading the word about the special brand of toxicity, dysfunction, and nepotism that are the cornerstones of UP corporate culture. By getting the word out it may force some change for the better for those still working there.

Up cares about one thing: public image.

They care but they don’t care. They care in the sense that they want their public reputation to be a good one. But they don’t care about their employees or if they’re happy. And yes the latest batch of fake reviews are over the top and rather astounding. Sad their rating is so low even with the fake reviews.

UP cares about their corporate image somewhat, but they won't make any structural changes to their culture as long as it is still profitable to maintain the status quo.

IMO, UP needs to wake up to the fact that it's almost 2020, not 1920, and modernize their culture. They can start by treating the people who work for them with a little bit of respect and dignity.
