3rd day off for Holidays

Any stores out there still getting their 3rd day off on the week of holidays? My store here in Ohio didn’t get it. Have to work one of our days off and then the holiday is considered our 2nd day off. Didn’t know if this is the new thing or if this is another case of my manager doing what she wants because she can

My days off don’t fall on any of the holidays this year, so I am working one of my normal days off and then the other day off is the holiday itself. First year it’s been like that, at least for my club. Was only told that the CM said no 3rd day off.

No written rule that I know of. Some get it some don’t. If you didn’t get it for Thanksgiving then my MGR makes sure you get the next holiday with 3 days off and so on. Some like myself prefer to work and save my PTO. I prefer cashing out my PTO at the end of our year and get one lump sum.

Such a shame... company is so disconnected and non-transparent to its associates. Market managers & Regionals here in CA just going along with the sham.

If your day falls on the holiday, no extra day off. You have to go into your pto and remove the holiday pay to save your pto hours. If, say like Christmas, your days off are tuesday and thursday, you will get 3 days off because we are closed wed. but like me... my two days off are tuesday and weds. I will not get an extra day off. Totally s—s.

No third day off. Remember when we got 2 days of personal time on our anniversary hire date.

They've been doing this in our club for a couple years now.

At our club we all only get the holiday off and one other day. Never 3 days off in a week, those days are gone. The paycheck is 48 hours though.

How does the company make money by paying you to work an extra day?

It's a way for the company to save money at our expense.
