Green Card Issues Again at Cisco - When will this end

My perm application returned for the 3rd time - due to some recent layoffs - is anyone else experiencing this issue

You should definitely move back to India where the bureacracy is so much more efficient.

it took me more than 4.5 yr to get my GC because PERM issues... pray to get your PERM cleared, it is the toughest part to get thru. Change of status (GC) process should take somewhere between 6-12 months if case is standard and you are not an India/China citizen.

this is endemic in Silicon Valley if you apply to a green card through an employer, Especially if it's an internal transfer on an L1 that can't be transferred to any other company.

why should they hurry right? I went through it. it took Cisco legal over 4 years to get me from L1 to green card. when I married halfway through, they blatantly lied claiming the green card was just 2 months away. then another 2 etc... it was pure and plain exploitation but hey, I did think it worthwhile.
