Even though everything comes in frozen you still have to proof most of it and bake it, they have ovens back there for a reason!! And when I started working in the bakery we did make muffins, cakes, icing from scratch, but that was 23 years ago, it took awhile to start getting in frozen breads & cakes.

Not sure why the person saying everything comes in frozen is getting downvoted. It does. You literally pan out the product from a box of frozen merchandise, slap it in the oven, box it up.

It's not like the associates are back there mixing ingredients to make their own dough and batter haha.

To the other comment you have no idea what your talking about. Yes a good amount of stuff does come in frozen but yes the bakery does bake.

I don't know the min an max of pay but I do know it will depend on experience and what you can do. Like can you ice a cake and write on it neatly? This goes a long way in bakery.

Baker? Walmart doesn't do any baking anymore. Everything comes in frozen and pre-made. You just defrost it.
