I was notified two weeks ago that my position was eliminated which is just crazy sine it clearly still exists! This is the 4th time I’ve been laid off in my career. There is no corporation that truly cares about their employees.

I was a Culture Ambassador and a high performer on my team. My boss was also laid off along with 3 others on our team. I feel really badly for my teammates who are staying. I know I will be able to find a great job and will be just fine. I feel sorry for those who are staying because culture is a joke.

Where is the Integrity and who cares about the client Relationships and where was the Compassion?

If that’s what they call Innovation they are sorely mistaken! I took Performance very seriously. I actually lived the stated values. Why doesn’t Optum upper management do the same??? It’s so sad. I’m praying for us all.

They don’t get it why don’t they just get providers in India and Costa Rica to. Sure the would be cheaper and save even more money. They could just route all the calls there. Don’t know if the could understand a word they are saving. But think of how much money would be saved.

These heartless b–tards are ruthless. I lived all the their values. Compassion don’t judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. How can the CEO walk a mile in our shoes when he makes 40 million a year. Cut him and save almost 600 jobs. And he still gets 20 million in benefits and stock options that he sold for over 80 million while our poor members do without food to pay their 30 dollars copy’s and yearly Medicare deduction. Don’t talk to me about Compassion. You cannot treat your employees like trash. Lay them all off before the birth of Jesus and expect your company to thrive. Karma is a b–ch.

The "chick" that got rehired, I was wondering if she belongs to any minority, disability group, or is a veteran? Fear of lawsuit always makes them bend over backwards.

Some chick just got rehired. She’s worked for Optum all of 2 yrs. she raised holy hell about being laid off. Squeaky wheel I guess?

It's depressing and confusing. Not sure why they bother with culture talk anymore.
