Intel's new CIO from outside. They are aware there is no senior leadership talent inside Intel anymore. The folks that were able to leave and find positions left, leaving the ones that could not find positions or were not wanted. 2020 is a turning point for Intel, a Toys R Us moment.

I agree with comment "public diversity display." This is now the third one. The first was unable to perform the job, she was from HP, the second couldn't manage a budget and was "lavish" in her spending coming from DOW, now back to HP.
Last one was fired. She was a terrible leader.
Intel's last 3 CIOs have been external hires.
What happened to the last one?
This position is reserved for public diversity display. The Board seems to think IT isn’t very important and can afford this burden.
