Has anyone received their severance that was laid off on 12/4 or know when it is supposed to be sent ?

Pretty sure you don’t get severance if you quit. For those asking, not everyone gets severance that worked for UHG/Optum. It depends on where you worked in the company, how long you’ve worked there, and the level you were at when you were laid off.

I was only at Optum for 2 months and got 5 weeks severance. It depends on length of service, pay grade, as well as exempt/hourly status.
Was laid off 12/4. Received last paycheck and PTO payout but NO Severance. And I AM over 40. Why would they hold on paying? Papers were signed and shipped back.
I heard some people are getting 1 week for each year of service for their severance package. Then I heard people who got laid off were only paid to the end of the pay period. So what exactly is the severance package?
I received mine on 1/10 as well as my PTO payout. I attended one of the benefits meetings and something was said about holding severance for folks over 40 for either 14 or 15 days. Not sure if I’m remembering that correctly though (I’m under 40(
I was laid off 12/4 with last day so 1/2. Last paycheck was paid on 1/10 which was for timeframe 12/22-1/3. I was also paid my severance and 38 hours of pto on 1/10 as a separate lump payment than my regular paycheck. I've already gotten the paper statements for both of them and they correctly calculated my severance as well as pto. Just fyi, my layoff notice said not to sign before 1/2; I signed it 1/2 and emailed to the severance email address before 9am that morning which I think is why I got my severance payment already.
I was laid off 12/4. Received my last paycheck 12/31. I have not received my severance or PTO payout. I was told by HR to expect both severance and PTO on 1/24
what is the severance package deal if laid off
I noticed a few people on my Jabber who were deactivated are now active again (I never removed them). This could be a good sign.. maybe they're realizing they're laying off too many good workers and bringing them back in. 2 of the 3 people are now in different areas then where they were laid off from.
Last check was paid on 1.10 that was not the severance pay..they overpaid some by a week severance should be a lump sum for 3 weeks..
If they offered your job back and you quit, most likely will not receive severance pay..
You laid off then hired back and you quit then? Not sure they will be giving you anything.
I was laid off on 12/4, offered my job back 2 weeks later and subsequently gave the A holes my 2 weeks
Notice. Last I heard severance for 12/4 was paid a week late and was OVER paid so they are asking for money back.
