Just got back from vacation and the feel and words of everyone I worked with for years is they wanna quit. I like point out that 2 did quit. People I worked with for years. Just seems everyone is on their last leg. The stress has eaten them all alive. What job you know ruins your social life as well as your health ? It would make sense if you was making bank and do it short term. But the Macy’s beat down is like a machine that I’ve seen no one survives!

Will everyone please take a step back for a moment and ask yourselves "Is this a normal way to live and work?". This is abuse and I am sure none of you would tolerate these behaviors from anyone in your normal lives, so why allow people in a company to do it to you? I read an earlier post from someone who claimed to be a manager who was extremely unpleasant in his/her statements, and crossed the line in the way people are treated. It takes one person to stand up only one. I totally understand when everyone has to make a living to survive and that is the only reason it is tolerated. That does not make it right because there are laws and ethics!!!
Life is better outside of Macy’s. Change is scary sometimes. But when you finally make the decision to jump ship and try something new, it’s liberating. Just have to take that chance. Better then letting Macy’s abuse us
I can't even begin to imagine what life could be like outside of this hell. I'm frightened that life is like this everywhere.
Not a large company. Smaller local company. No more big corporations for me. You make more and have better benefits with smaller privately belt companies. Didn’t realize until i started applying. Found the right fit for me. And not retail

I finally left this week. Absolutely love my new job and company. There are businesses that value their people. You just have start looking and applying. I finally feel at peace for the first time in a long time. No abusive managers and the pay is just over 50% more the what Macy’s paid me.
