Not sure what’s going on with the infighting between the 2 below, but I too have heard the terminology is going to change.
2020 Regions = Divisions
2020 Districts = Regions
If the terminology changes, who cares.
Now for the DDV position. Several rumors out there.
1) Eliminated across the country
2) Staying, but less due to multiple district consolidations
3) DDV & DMs eliminated, and new position over all things execution created
The point of that, is nobody knows what’s going on. If they do, nobody is talking.

No, we have already left Divisions behind when we consolidated the company in 2009, so no, you definitely don’t know what you are talking about.

2020 Spring Transition targets are already out for the stores. Visual Managers will report to the Regional Visual District Director. Lots more cuts on the way.

Because of consolidations, Districts will become bigger And be called regions.

Visual doesn’t matter? You obviously have no idea how involved visual is with the overall run of the stores! So many fires get put out, some you would never even know started. Believe me, the stores will suffer greatly without any visual oversight, you’ll see...

As less customers frequent the "Brick and Mortar" side of retail, visual does not matter!

The dvd runs the world. If you don’t believe that or can’t see it, then you’re not in touch with the retail reality. Who do they think does everything? Visual is the backbone of the district and stores. Such a bad move is this is true.
