Anybody else hearing about an action on Friday 1/17/20? I’m hearing 200 to 500 layoffs.

One senior scientist let go in Webster Bldg 218
In Webster it impacted quite a few different orgs. Total impact unknown.
It’s clear that Icahn and Xerox are only preparing the company for sale. Pump and dump. It’s going to get a lot worse before it either evens out or is dead. This company will never be good again.
No f—in clue . These managers were active in employee and staff satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is at an all time low as it is . This company is a golden boat anchor now. Just like kodac and danka
Has anybody made a summary of the actions taken yesterday? What orgs, locations and job functions?
I completely believe that about AskHR. I had to use it for a benefits question late last year and the process was unbelievably difficult. Not only did Sanjay in Bangalore have a limited grasp on the English language, the answers I received were generic at best and didn't actually answer my question. I finally asked to escalate to someone else or get a phone number so I could stop the ridiculous back and forth emails. Nope, "email is the only option".
I ended up emailing customer service at Blue Cross and in their first reply they gave me the answer for our plan and offered to call me back if I needed more assistance.
An HR manager was IRIF yesterday and told that HR is being replaced by an AskHR phone number for employees to call with questions and issues. AskHR is being staffed by HCL.
In what city state department were additional managers told that they would be let go in the near future?
Details please.
Additional managers were told that they will be let go in the coming weeks but they are not allowed to say anything or risk losing severance package.
@2thh. I hope after 35 years you'd realize that upper management has never about their people, their knowledge or what contributions they make. I've seen dozens of critical people laid off over the years.
I just reached my 35th year with Xerox. What do I get for my excellent/dedicated service??
An IRIF package. Totally took me by surprise. I guess Xerox no longer cares about people, their knowledge of the business or what contributions they make.
One confirmed in Webster NY, three in Ohio. Two others but not sure what state they were in. Heard rumors about Toronto being shut down but nothing has been confirmed.

Agree a forewarning is helpful from a mental aspect.
I hope our HR understands mental preparation could avoid a crisis situation (especially in US where gun laws are liberal).
VRIF’s helped mitigate this risk; but, it appears current leadership is okay with taking the risk
XBS core in the Midwest lost four service managers today.
Shameful what has been done to a once great company!
Can confirm at least 5 on West Coast XBS
Whoever posted this - thank you! Helped me mentally prepare for more torture. I survived by it's always stressful.

At least 4 in Wilsonville, maybe a few more
All for 1Q2020 EPS to meet guidance. The time to pay the piper is coming very soon for those responsible, once investors realize the shell game that has been afoot regarding future revenue flatness to growth. My recall is the market PowerPoint showed flat very soon, but we’ve seen a downward spiral.
Senior VP Sales just announced their own IRIF.
What functions are/were in Toronto?
Any confirmation that Toronto is closed down? Its hard to believe given CA laws and the size of the operation that they shut everything down.
I have been IRIF'd today after 20+.
Several 207 folks gone. Not sure on total numbers but have not heard of more than 5 (yet).
What roles or teams were based in the Toronto office? Was there any announcement about where they will be transitioned to?
Confirmed - our manager just held a team meeting to discuss the action.
Toronto Office Got shutdown today hundreds laid off, contractors and full timers. John v is a thief
From the XBS side at our core, it's absolutely true. One of our service managers just got let go, and he had been here for 20+ years
Good luck to everybody. Hopefully this remains small, that's all I've seen so far is a few here and there.

What teams are being impacted in 111?
111 purge in progress, stay tuned!
Just heard about 6 in B111.
Can confirm XBS hit. Personally got walked out.
I am aware of 1 in 111 and 1 in 208
What sites and buildings have been hit? I haven't seen anything yet.
People ARE being hit in different buildings today. Definitely not a drill...
Very true laying off 60 people in service; XBS and direct. No notice given. So sad
