Anybody else hearing about an action on Friday 1/17/20? I’m hearing 200 to 500 layoffs.

This is just someone creating panic. Most of us would have heard about this if it were true.
I have heard confirmation of “an action” but no numbers, groups, or geographies.
They have been keeping the number of impacted employees under the WARN threshold for all previous actions. Either by variations in location or number of employees.
Hearing tomorrow as well. No idea of total headcount or geographies.

Agree a New York State law requires a WARN notice if more than 250 people impacted by lay-off at a site.
So either the rumored number is wrong or it includes more locations than just Webster
That one is likely the L2 folks who were converted to HCL
Here's a WARN notice for 37 employees located at a plant at 800 Phillips Road for HCL America. But it's for a layoff in March or April.
My guess is the 500 number would include more than just NY State, or possibly other countries.

If its that number and Webster engineering. There won't be anything left of "engineering" after that.
That would be a good thing. Better off and unemployed benefits .....
If anyone hears concrete information before or after it happens, please post specifics here. I've heard nothing at the XBS level.
I've heard same but didn't hear a group mentioned. If it ends up being 500 that seems like the largest one yet even counting the 2 large actions in Aug and Sept 2018.
